Who is the Information Service for?
Anyone that is affected by Cancer in any way in Blackpool, Wyre or Fylde, whether their diagnosis is a recent one or not. We also offer information to professionals and volunteers working with those affected by Cancer.

How much does the Service cost?
The service is a free to patients, their relatives and carers. There will be no charge for any of the leaflets or booklets that you take away with you.

When can I access the service?
The Drop-in Service is available at the Linden Centre 9-5pm Monday to Friday. Our telephone lines are also staffed 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. You will not have to leave a message on an answer-phone. This web site also contains useful links to other organisations that provide information via the Internet.

Who would I meet if I came to the Linden Centre?
You should ask for the Information Officer. The Information Officer will offer a listening ear to establish what sort of information or support you require. Whilst the Information Officers are not medically trained they know exactly where to access information about Cancer. They also have a wealth of information about lifestyle, finances and other services that are available to people.

What sort of information can I ask them for?
Anything! The questions we are asked range from detailed advice about specific cancers & treatment options to information about diet & lifestyle.

What if the Information Officer canšt find the information I need?
They will do their best to find an organisation, whether it be national or local who can help. We also have contacts amongst other professionals who we can put you in touch with should your question be beyond our remit.
